5G brings new opportunities to the injection molding industry


   In 2019, with the advent of the 5G boom, in addition to the question of whether consumers can increase the experience of use, many people in the plastics industry also questioned whether 5G will benefit from it. The answer is naturally obvious. With the advent of the 5G wave, the metal phone back cover market has further shrunk, because the massive MIMO technology adopted by 5G makes it necessary to add a large number of antennas in the mobile phone, and the metal material will shield and interfere with the signal, so the back cover of the mobile phone goes. Metallization will be the general trend of the 5G era. At present, the back cover of mobile phones is moving from metal to glass, ceramics and plastics. In these three cases, glass and ceramics still have some problems due to cost and process, and plastics become the majors due to their advantages of easy processing and low cost.    From the current back cover material of most mobile phones on the market, the metal back cover is gradually disappearing. The main metal part of the fuselage is a metal middle frame, double-sided glass and a small amount of ceramics become the mainstream of the flagship machine.
