ASA (English name: Acrylonitrile Styrene acrylate copolymer), engineering plastics, is a graft copolymer of acrylate rubber body with acrylonitrile and styrene. The molding temperature is 170-230 °C.

ASA resin is mainly produced by blending technology. The main raw materials are ASA powder and AS resin as well as colorants, antioxidants, internal and external lubricants, etc.
The main equipment is twin-screw extruder. Other supporting equipments include high-speed batching machine, automatic weighing feeder, cooling granulator, automatic packaging machine, quality inspection equipment (melt ester instrument, universal testing machine, etc.). A finished silo is required to reach a certain size.

With strong protection, the material's anti-aging and weather resistance are greatly improved. According to the test results, the anti-aging performance of ASA is more than 10 times that of ABS.

ASA application areas:
1. Automotive: After a long period of wind erosion, ASA will not be as grey as the specially treated aging-resistant ABS (many micro-cracks and cavitation on the surface due to wind erosion or water flow). Typical applications for ASA are external components such as exterior mirrors, radiator grilles, tailgates, and lampshades that are exposed to harsh conditions such as sun and rain, strong winds, and the like. At present, it has gradually extended to motorcycle panels, camping cars, small hulls, surfboards and other fields.
2. Horticulture: ASA has proven to be particularly suitable for horticultural irrigation equipment and lawn cutter casings.
3. Electrical and electronic fields: Shells that are preferred for durable equipment, such as sewing machines, telephones, kitchen equipment, satellite antennas, etc.
